Serzh Sargsyan: "Gul said he is ready to assist to the resolution of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations and I accepted this with pleasure"

"I am sure that any step which can help the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs to settle the Karabakh issue, should be assessed only positively". Sargsyan told reporters, commenting on the meeting with Turkish President Abdullah Gul, held last Saturday.

"During the meeting, Gul said that when necessary he is ready to assist to the resolution of the Armenian-Azerbaijani relations and I accepted it with pleasure, as only an abnormal person can reject such an assistance", said Sargsyan.

He stressed the need to differentiate between assistance and mediation.
