13 September 2008 [12:06] - TODAY.AZ
The Communist Party of Azerbaijan plans to hold the next plenum on September 28, said party chairman Rauf Qurbanov.
He noted that the party does not intend to participate in the presidential elections with its candidate, but it plans to support any other candidacy.

"Before holding a plenum we are planning to familiarize with the platforms and strategies of each candidate. After it, this issue will be discussed with the party activists", noted he.

Qurbanov also added that the party ended conduction of zonal sessions.

As for the assessment of the election situation before elections, Qurbanov said:

"The election situation differs greatly from the presidential elections of 1998 and 2003. The voters and presidential candidates are not active as they have earlier been. Perhaps, this is caused by due reasons", resumed he.
