"The announcements of opposition that the sites, allocated by the Baku's mayor's office are not suitable for holding mass actions, are groundless", said chairman of Ana Veten party, MP Fazail Aghamaly.

He said in the current situation opposition has weakened, therefore, it is unable to arrange mass actions.
"Opposition will not be able to gather even 2,000 people at the central Azadlyg square. How can they say that the sites, allocated for them, are not suitable for holding actions?
Moreover, the sites, allocated by the mayor's office, are intended for small actions, but not for all-republican meetings. If opposition representatives want to introduce their position to the people, they can easily arrange their actions in the areas, allocated by the mayor's office.
It is senseless to demand allocation of places near 28 May and other metro stations as most people in Azerbaijan do not support this idea", noted Aghamaly.
