Sardar Jalaloghlu: "Azerbaijani opposition parties have chosen a wrong position in creating a new coalition"

20 August 2008 [15:19] - TODAY.AZ
"No political structure has appealed to the Democratic Party of Azerbaijan regarding creation of a large coalition", said party chairman Sardar Jalaloghlu.
He said there is currently no need to create any coalition.

"The opposition parties have chosen a wrong position in creating a new coalition. We consider it incorrect to conduct a policy, aimed at non-recognition of the results of voting. The Democratic party decided not to take part in the presidential elections and to hold any protests with any demands again is inexpedient.

The Party will not hold political consultations independently, however, if the talks are held in the framework of the coalition of four, where our party is represented, we can initiate them", said he.

Jalaloghlu also added that the Democratic Party of Azerbaijan will hold zonal sessions in the regions of the country beginning in September. The essence of holding sessions is to strengthen the structural divisions of the party.
