Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry: "Each country appoints date of military trainings independently"

"Each country appoints date of military trainings independently and it is free in this issue", said spokesman for the Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan Eldar Sabiroghlu, commenting on the reason of Russia's failure to notify Azerbaijani side about holding military trainings on the Caspian Sea.

He said there is currently no need to notify another state about trainings and he does not see anything extraordinary in it.

"Russia holds trainings in its sector of the Caspian Sea. And, as they note, these are planned trainings.

Azerbaijan has repeatedly held planned military trainings in the national sector of the Caspian Sea and did not see any need to notify any country about it". resumed Sabiroghlu.

It should be reminded that over 15 ships and vessels of the Caspian flotilla were launched into the sea for developing the set tasks in the framework of the active phase of the cruise. Among them is a flagman of Caspian flotilla-rocket ship Tatarstan and a new small artillery ship Astrakhan.
