Yeni Azerbaijan party holds conference on 15th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev's return to Baku

Opening the session, deputy chairman, executive secretary of Yeni Azerbaijan party Ali Ahmedov noted that Heydar Aliyev's return from Nakhchivan to Baku became a turning point in the history of Azerbaijan and the whole people.

"By his return Heydar Aliyev rescued the people and the country from economic disaster, international isolation, armed clash and collapse, which threatened the country. The most important is that Heydar Aliyev's return saved the people from the dull leadership and politicians, demagogues, which ruled the country and were responsible for the chaos and feud", said he.

Speaking at the conference, head of Baku city administration Hajibala Abutalibov announced that Azerbaijan, which currently participates in the technical progress of the world and in ensuring its safety, faced the danger of its extinction from the world map 15 years ago.

"Combining features of the wisdom of the East and pragmatism of the West, Heydar Aliyev could prevent internal feud in Azerbaijan and corrected mistakes in external policy", said he.

Other participants, speaking at the conference, stressed Heydar Aliyev's valuable role in the establishment of Azerbaijan state system, initiation of democratic reforms and construction of a jural state in Azerbaijan.
