Council of US Beverli Hills congratulates Azerbaijani people with 90th anniversary of the Azerbaijan People's Republic

The resolution says that in May  of 2008, the Azerbaijani people mark the 90th anniversary of the Azerbaijan People's Republic as well as the 85th jubilee of Heydar Aliyev.

The due announcement was made by Azerbaijan's consul general in Los Angeles Elin Suleymanov.

The resolution stresses invaluable contribution of Heydar Aliyev to development of the US-Azerbaijani relations and strengthening of Azerbaijani economy.

It is especially noted that Azerbaijan is the US strategic partner and Azerbaijani servicemen together with US soldiers serve in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Member of the city council Jimmi Delshad read out the resolution at a ceremonial reception and at the concert, arranged by the Azerbaijani Consulate General in Los Angeles on May 11 in honor of the 85th jubilee of Heydar Aliyev.
