A regular session of the Board of the Azerbaijan's Democratic Party was held yesterday.

Day.Az reports with reference to the press service for the party during the session discussed main strategic issues, facing the political structure.
Initially, the Democratic Party of Azerbaijan considered and positively assessed the report of the US Department of State by results of 2007.
"The Democratic Party of Azerbaijan considers that the report was formal as the country needs serious economic reforms and transformations. For this reason we call on the President to dismiss the Cabinet of Ministers and form a new one", the press service notes.
The party leadership also considered rise in oil prices on the world market. The political structure urges to review budget and adopt due programs depending on the revenues.
The session participants also discussed wounded reporter of Azadlyg opposition newspaper Agil Halil. The party considers such facts as an attempt to put pressure on political structure right before presidential elections.
Moreover, the party welcomes continuation of talks of the Venice commission with Azerbaijani authorities and is ready to provide support when necessary.
