Khazar Ibrahim: "Countries, which abstained from voting on UN resolution on Karabakh, have created conditions for its adoption"

17 March 2008 [16:07] - TODAY.AZ
Non-participation of nearly 100 countries in voting on the draft resolution on Karabakh in the UN General Assembly does not say that these countries do not recognize territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
The due announcement was made by spokesman for Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry Khazar Ibrahim, commenting of whether the non-participation of most CIS and European countries in the voting on the draft resolution on Karabakh most CIS and European countries indicated the insincerity of announcements previously made by representatives of these countries about recognition of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

"As you know these countries were subjected to pressure of not only Armenia but also some other forces who wanted to attain their voting against the resolution. However, these countries, demonstrating their position of the recognition of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, did not take part in the voting, thus creating conditions for adoption of the resolution", Ibrahim said.
