Request to permit medical examination of Azerbaijan's former economic development minister sent to President of Azerbaijan

Elchin Behbudov, chairman of the Azerbaijani committee against torture has sent a letter to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev with a request to instruct regarding the medical examination of former economic development minister Farhad Aliyev and his medical treatment.

The due announcement was made by a source from the Committee of Protection of the rights of Farhad and Rafiq Aliyevs. The appeal, sent to the President, says that F.Aliyev feels bad therefore Elchin Behbudov often visits him.

"On February 18 Farhad Aliyev was examined by a doctor, who has previously examined the ex minister several times and made different diagnosis. As his state deteriorated during the examination, the doctor had to stop the examination. F.Aliyev asked the doctor to present the result of examination to authorized doctors, but however, the doctor refused to give the results", the appeal says.

According to the appeal, the doctor did not prescribe him any treatment course and did not introduce the information about the results of examination.
