Serj Sarkisyan: "I will continue Robert Kocharyan's policy"

The due information has been provided by Serj Sarkisyan, Prime Minister of Armenia, leader of the Republican Party and candidate for President.

He said Armenia's law enforcement bodies have consolidated through the last 5 years and are able to fulfill any task, set before them.

Sarkisyan predicts his own victory in the first tour of the elections saying he will gain over 50% votes on February 19.

Touching upon accusations of the opposition members, according to which the powers commit different violations to ensure Sarkisyan's victory, he said: "Have you ever seen an opposition which does not accuse its government, especially right before elections? 99% of these accusations are false".

Sarkisyan intends to continue Robert Kocharyan's policy.

"Kocharyan's policy is clear and implies continuation of country's economic growth, joining the European family, normalization of relations with neighbors and peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict", Sarkisyan announced.

He noted regarding main regional problems that Armenia is close to achieving peace with Azerbaijan and wishes to establish diplomatic relations with Turkey.

"Armenia is ready to establish relations with Turkey unconditionally, while Turkey sets its own provisions", the candidate for President said, blaming Ankara with the deadlock.
