Center of Democratic Elections demands from Azerbaijani government to make details of talks with Venice Commission public

A regular session of the Center of Democratic Elections was held in the office of Azerbaijan's Party of Classic Popular Front today.

Ahmed Orudj, chairman of the Azadlyg party, represented in the association, told Day.Az that the first reading of the program of the Center, which will be a basis for their activity during presidential elections, was held during the session. It is planned to be adopted at the next session.

Moreover, the Center has considered the situation in the country before presidential elections.

"Our association demands to make the talks of the Venice Commission with the government on introduction of amendments to the Election Code of the country public. It is necessary for us, representing the side which participate in the elections, to know the whole process, Naturally, most parties, represented in the Center of Democratic Elections do not believe that they will fully change the process of elections. However, we should be aware of principal features", he noted.

The Center of Democratic Elections also decided to hold a forum on the Karabakh problem in the International Press Center of February 25.
