Azerbaijan's Deputy Justice Minister receives US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State on terrorism

The due announcement was made by the press service for the Ministry of Justice, Novosti-Azerbaijan reports.

Zakhirov noted during the meeting that Azerbaijan is an active member of the anti-terror coalition, joining main international conventions on war on terror, improving national legislation, and carrying out practical work in this direction.

"Struggle with this challenge is of special importance for Azerbaijan, which suffered from Armenia's military aggression and terror", Deputy Minister of Justice noted.

He also stressed importance of fruitful cooperation in this sphere with international organizations, including UN, OSCE and Council of Europe.

Speaking about  US assistance in measures, undertaken against the threat to the whole humanity, the Deputy Minister added that Azerbaijani combats terror and separatism in the framework of GUAM.

In turn, Urbanchik added that Azerbaijan is an important ally for the United States.

He highly appreciated the activity undertaken by the country for war of terror and stressed need to continue join efforts in this field.
