Public Commission for working out declaration on PKK terrorist organization to be created in Azerbaijan

"We decided to create a public commission due to the suspension of the activity of the parliamentary commission for working out a declaration regarding the PKK terrorist organization", deputy Panakh Guseynov said at the session of the Parliament.

He suggested the deputies, who were also members of the parliamentary commission, to join the action.

Deputy Fazil Gazanfaroglu noted that the activity of the work group was stopped without prior notification of the members of the group.

The deputy executive secretary of the Yeni Azerbaijan party, deputy Siyavush Novruzov, who did not agree on the statements of the colleagues, announced that the commission held its session and some deputies were not informed about its termination due to the failure to attend the session.

"The President of Azerbaijan has signed a joint declaration with the President of Turkey on the PKK terrorist organization. The declaration reads that Azerbaijan will mobilize all its resources for fighting the said organization. The parliament will ratify the document, therefore, there is no need for adoption of a parallel document. There is no need for creation of a public commission", he said.
