"I am not for popular diplomacy. I think Nagorno Garabagh conflict can not be settled through popular diplomacy", deputy chairman of Milli Medjlis Bahar Muradova said.
She noted commenting on the visit of representatives of Azerbaijani mass media and NGOs to Armenia that opinions differ on the said issue and each side has serious arguments.
"However, the official position of Azerbaijan is that the establishment of contacts with Armenia is inexpedient unless the negotiation process is fruitful. We adhere to this principle. There are facts of meetings on the level of mass media, NGOs and others. It can not be fully prohibited. I am not for making a tragic out of it".
At the same time, she considers that the hostile attitude of Armenians towards Azerbaijanis is caused by the lack of information about our country in Armenia.
"Anyway, the failure to settle the problem comes from non-constructive position of Armenia, its failure to accept existent facts, continuation of aggression and neglect of international principles", the deputy chairman said.
