Crime case related documents announced in Ali Insanov's trial

Trial on case of former Health Minister Ali Insanov and ten more defendants accused of embezzlement, abuse of power and bribery continued in the second part of the day at Azerbaijan's Court of Grave Crimes.

The sitting is presided over by Judge Faig Gasimov, APA reports.

The judge asked the opinion of the process participants concerning the beginning announcing the documents.

Agaveys Shahverdi, lawyer for Ali Insanov said that a number of witnesses should be interrogated before the documents are announced.

The judge said that the witnesses will be interrogated if contradiction appears after the documents are announced.

Following this, the letters sent by Nadir Alekberov, Irade Hasanova, Ferhad Musayev and Rauf Hasanov were announced. They asked the court not to consider their claims. Their petitions were granted.

Then the documents of the criminal case were announced. First protocol on Ali Insanov's arrest and search in his house in Jafar Khandan street. According to the protocol, $1.289mln., EUR884, 20kg golden things, cartridge were confiscated in the house of the former minister.

The judge noted that Ali Insanov's son Vidadi Insanov also signed the protocol.

Ali Insanov's lawyer asked to bring Kerem Hasanov, chief of the State Committee on Management of Public Property and Hajibala Abutalibov, Baku mayor to court.

The trial will continue on April 3.
