President Ilham Aliyev thanks Masoud Pezeshkian for remarks on Azerbaijan

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has thanked Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian for his kind and sincere remarks about Azerbaijan, stressing the longstanding ties and mutual support between the peoples of Azerbaijan and Iran, AzerNEWS reports.

This was stated in a post shared on President Ilham Aliyev’s social media accounts.

"Mr. President Masoud Pezeshkian, I thank you for the kind and sincere words you spoke about Azerbaijan. The peoples of Azerbaijan and Iran have always stood by each other's side in narrow and difficult days. Against the backdrop of the recent events that have taken place in our region, Azerbaijan has once again demonstrated that it stands by its brother Iranian people," the post reads.
