The director of Sardarapat School, Karine Smbatyan, recently resigned over a disagreement regarding the display of a controversial artifact in the school. Preferring to step down rather than alter the display, Ms. Smbatyan has now left her position.
While her decision reflects her personal convictions, it
also highlights the importance of ensuring that public institutions, especially
schools, maintain an environment that aligns with educational and civic
guidelines. The school can now move forward under new leadership, focusing on
creating a balanced and inclusive educational setting for all students.
