Deadly pizza for Solovyov and company

Do you remember the story about the “assassination attempt” on Vladimir Solovyov? The suspects are now on trial for allegedly plotting to get rid of the TV host.


During the hearing, an audio recording was released in which one of the accused describes how they supposedly planned to kill Solovyov. The method they allegedly chose was, to put it mildly, unusual: according to investigators, they intended to intercept a food delivery ordered by Solovyov and slip him a poisoned pizza.


What their plan was in case he ordered sushi or shawarma remains unknown.


Interestingly, Solovyov was not the only supposed target. According to the prosecution, the suspects — reportedly a group of people — also discussed possible attacks on TV presenters Dmitry Kiselyov, Olga Skabeeva, Evgeny Popov, Tigran Keosayan, and RT editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan.


A full list of television personalities, it seems. As for Tigran, they didn’t get around to him — he managed to get himself into headlines on his own.


I wonder how long Solovyov will now be afraid to order food from anywhere but home.
