Int'l Commission to support Azerbaijan’s position if it takes Armenia to ICJ on issue of missing persons – Director General

If Azerbaijan takes Armenia to the International Court of Justice in connection with the missing persons, the International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP) will support the fair position of Azerbaijan, Director-General of the ICMP Kathryne Bomberger said,Trend reports.

According to her, this issue is regulated in accordance with an international convention, and the countries are responsible for finding missing persons in this context.

The director-general noted the importance of this issue in terms of protecting the rights of the families of the missing.

"If Azerbaijan takes Armenia to the International Court on the discovery of people who went missing during the first and second Karabakh wars, the ICMP will protect the interests of Azerbaijan," she stressed.
