A rally by radical opposition scheduled for June 4 will not to be sanctioned

24 May 2005 [09:24] - TODAY.AZ
A rally by a radical wing of the opposition (PFAP, reformers - the Azerbaijan Democrat Party - Musavat), scheduled for 4 June, will not sanctioned, Ai Hassanov, the head of the Public Political Department of the President's Executive Power, told journalists.
The rally by the radical wing does not pursue the democratic reforms.

"If the authorities felt they had sincere intentions, then would immediately join the rally of the opposition. However, it is quite different. The key objective of the opposition is to receive grants from the international organizations, while the Azerbaijani government will never allow it," Hassanov underlined.

According to Hassanov, people represented in the government authorities intend to defend the national interests of the Azerbaijani state and will defend the principles till the end.
