George Clooney donates $1m to Haiti relief

George Clooney has reportedly pledged to donate $1m (£619,693) to the Haiti relief efforts.

The Up in the Air star also previously donated to the cause as part of the $1m sum given by a group including Matt Damon, Brad Pitt and others, reports E!.

Pitt and partner Angelina Jolie, Sandra Bullock and Gisele Bündchen have further made personal donations of $1m or more to aid Haiti earthquake victims.

Clooney's 'Hope For Haiti Now' telethon will air Friday night on a number of US TV networks and MTV in the UK.
