Street food today, or as we call it, fast food, is an integral part of the modern life. It is created for people who like to have fun with food and do not have the habit of counting every calorie. At the same time, today fast food is not limited to hamburgers, hot dogs or pies, little snacks can be very diverse, tasty and useful.
Proof of that is a food festival "Sweet November", which started today in Baku. The festival which runs for the second time, has already caused great interest of Baku residents and tourists.
The food festival, supported by the State Historical and Architectural Reserve "Icherisheher" and the culinary project "Meal for Real" kicks of near the symbol of Baku, Maiden Tower, Trend Life reported.
During the festival, guests can not only taste traditional and new dishes from all over the world, but also try out their gastro startup.
Throughout the world, street food is a phenomenon that is accepted approvingly, regardless of social stratum and age. Moreover, it surely can be considered an indicator of gastronomic preferences of the society. The main goal of the organizers is to show that street food is not just a quick snack, it's a whole culture that opens the door to a world of new tastes and feelings.
At the festival "Sweet November" you can come with family, friends, try all known or new dishes of street cuisine and just have a good time.
More than 20 restaurants and cafes, many culinary experts surprise guests with all kinds of national and foreign dishes.
There is also an exhibition of various dishes, sale of products and souvenirs, a rich entertainment program, workshops and much more.
Admission is free, from 11:00 - 23:00.
Notably, the first ever large-scale open air food festival in the City of Winds "Baku Street Food Festival " was held in the Old City on May 19-21, and aroused great interest of Baku residents and tourists.
