Book by Nizami presented in Moldova

 The Days of Azerbaijani Culture are underway in Moldova. As part of the Days on Nov. 13 Chisinau hosted a concert of Afgan Rasulov, Ruslan Huseynov and Elvin Bashirov trio, Odeon cinema club hosted Azerbaijan movies’ days.

One of the events as part of the Days of Azerbaijan Culture in Moldova was dedicated to the great Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi. The presentation of the book of aphorisms by Nizami was organized on Nov. 14 in National Library of Moldova.

The book is dedicated to the 870th anniversary of Nizami Ganjavi and published in Azeri, Romanian, Russian and English with the assistance of the Congress of Azerbaijanis of Moldova.
Director of the National Library of Moldova Alexei Rau spoke about the heritage of Nizami, his great contribution to the world's cultural tradition.

Minister of Culture of Moldova Boris Focsa, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan Adalat Veliyev, Azerbaijani ambassador to Moldova Namik Aliyev, President of the Congress of Azerbaijanis of Moldova Vugar Novruzov, famous writer Ion Hadyrke and others also spoke about the contribution of Nizami in the world literary heritage.

Ion Hadyrke was awarded a special diploma of the Congress of Azerbaijanis of Moldova.
Azerbaijan’s literature is a unique spiritual treasure-house for its people and there is no doubt that Nizami Ganjavi is one of the greatest representatives of this literary heritage. His works, with their unique poetic innovations and universal themes, have transcended borders to influence the literature of distant lands. Nizami, the genius of Ganja is one of those rare representatives of world literature who were ahead of their time, whose main purpose in their life and work was to serve their people, defend them against oppression, injustice and harm and to implement their mission to the highest level.
