Elazig-Baku Cultural Days opened

The Elazig-Baku Cultural Days have opened today in Elazig, Turkey on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of Azerbaijan’s independence. It was co-organized by the Elazig`s municipality, governor’s office and Firat University.

Head of the Elazig Municipality Suleyman Salmanoglu, Elazig Governor Muammer Erol have received the Azerbaijani delegation.  The events featured conference dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Azerbaijan` independence, opening of the Azerbaijan Park, seminars devoted to the activities of the great poet Almas Ildirim and playwright Jafar Jabbarli and Fizuli remembrance night.

Within the framework of the events Anar Rzayev, well-known modern Azerbaijani writer will be awarded with the Honorary Doctorate Diploma of Firat University. Following the events concerts featuring Azeri dance band and mugham masters will be presented to the Elazig residents.
The events will last till Saturday.
