Culture and Tourism Minister to attend World Tourism Summit

Azerbaijani Culture and Tourism Minister Abulfas Garayev will attend the Global Travel & Tourism Summit in Las Vegas, USA, on May 17-19. The minister told journalists that he will meet Secretary General of the World Tourism Organization Taleb Rifai during the summit.

There will be no special presentation about Azerbaijan at the summit, but the Azerbaijani delegation is expected to address the event. Series of important meetings are scheduled within the summit.

"We are expected to meet the tourism ministers of some countries and the managers of the world leading travel agencies. This year was declared "A Year of Tourism" in Azerbaijan. We look forward to delivering necessary information about the development of this field in Azerbaijan at the summit".
