
The total turnover of transactions on all instruments at Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) amounted to 2.515 billion manat in January-April 2011,which is more by 4.2 times compared to the same period of 2010, the BSE reported.
The corporate securities market grew by 2.4 times compared to the same period last year, amounting to 241.4 million manat. This is linked with the increased volume of transactions in corporate bonds by 3.4 times.
The government securities market increased by 4.6 times and reached 2.27 billion manat. This is linked with the sharp increase (by 4.9 times) in operations with notes of the Central Bank, and the number of transactions increased almost twofold.
