
Azerbaijan attend the 23rd International Exhibition for Telecommunications, Control Systems, IT and Communication Services ‘Sviaz-Expocomm-2011’ to be held in Moscow on May 10-13, the Azerbaijani Communications and IT Ministry reported.
A delegation consisting of 40 employees of the Ministry and representatives of 13 companies operating in the ICT market will represent Azerbaijan at the event.
The national pavilion will showcase Azerbaijan’s achievements in the ICT sphere. DeltaTelecom, BestCompGroup, Ultra, Sinam, AZEL, Dilmanc, Azertelecom, Azercell, Huawei, Şaşioğlu Multimedia, B & BTV, BestSolution and IDRAKTechnologyTransfer will present their solutions and projects.
The delegation will be headed by Minister Ali Abbasov, who will speak at the opening ceremony. Abbasov will inform the audience about the activities carried out in the country in the ICT sphere and large-scale projects implemented in Azerbaijan, particularly the East-West super information superhighway project and project on the first Azerbaijani satellite Azerspace.
The ‘Sviaz-Expocomm- 2011’will bring together more than 550 companies from 23 countries. The business program includes around 240 events that will be attended by 3,000 delegates. The discussions and roundtables will bring together heads of ministries and departments of several countries. Deputy Secretary General of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) Howlin Zhao is expected to attend the event.
