Azerbaijani Migration Service transfers over 14.2 million manat to state budget in 2010

The state budget received 14.2 million manat from fees and fines applied by the Azerbaijani State Migration Service, State Migration Service head Arzu Rahimov said at a Cabinet of Ministers meeting today.

Last year, the service checked 16,680 documents belonging to foreigners, and revealed offenses in 12,094 cases, he said.

The relevant decisions were made against foreigners in each case in accordance with the legislation.

The total number of foreigners and stateless persons in Azerbaijan as of April 1 was 452,475 people, Rahimov said.
