
Azerbaijan and Jordan have signed a protocol after the second meeting of the intergovernmental commission on trade, economic and technical cooperation.
The document was signed by Azerbaijani Economic Development Minister Shahin Mustafayev and Jordanian Trade and Industry Minister Hani Mulki.
"Azerbaijan and Jordan are successfully developing cooperation. After the first meeting of the intergovernmental commission, significant results have been achieved and important documents have been signed, such as a memorandum of understanding between our education ministries," Mustafayev said.
He added that the protocol sums up the second meeting’s results which envisage boosting cooperation in tourism, agriculture, exports, as well as oil and gas. Moreover, the document states that a memorandum of understanding may be signed between the Azerbaijani Export and Investment Promotion Foundation and Jordan’s corresponding agency.
The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Jordan hit 2.473 million in 2010.
