Azerbaijan, WB discuss urban transport development in Baku

A working group of the Azerbaijani Transport Ministry and the World Bank discussed urban transport policy for Greater Baku this week, the ministry reported on Thursday.

WB Baku Office head Joseph Owen, Project Manager Jen Gungeun, WB Project Manager Ben Gericke and Sadraddin Mammadov, the head of the ministry's department for transport policy, attended the talks.

The meeting addressed activities funded by the Japanese Fund PHRD, WB recommendations, diagnostics, institutional mechanisms, and short-term priority measures.
