Azerbaijan to discuss insurance market problems

Baku will host a conference on the topic of Azerbaijan’s insurance market, the Azerbaijani Association of Insurers said on Wednesday. The conference will be held on March 16 and is organized by the Association of Insurers.

The event will be attended by representatives of the business sector, the association said.

The conference aims to bring the importance of insurance to the attention of business leaders and government officials.

"This conference is the first major step to promote insurance in our country. Earlier, events were also organized, but they were focused on insurers. This conference is different, as it involves wider circles in the discussion of problems and prospects," Supervisory Board Chairman Azer Aliyev said.

The conference will discuss prospects for developing the insurance sector in the world and in Azerbaijan, the insurance legislation, and insurance products and contracts.
