Turkmenistan considers ecological issues to be an important aspect of the Trans-Caspian gas pipeline. Ashgabat initiated holding an ecological summit in February, which was very effective, Turkmen Ambassador to Azerbaijan Toyli Komekov told journalists today.
Turkmenistan is committed to projects on energy resource diversification, such as the Turkmenistan-China Pipeline and the second branch of the Turkmenistan-Iran Pipeline, he said.
Komekov added that work on the implementation of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline project is also an example of this strategy.
Turkmenistan is ready to sell its gas at the border to all customers, as well as to supply gas in the direction of Europe, Komekov stressed.
The Trans-Caspian gas pipeline is designed to transport energy resources from Turkmenistan through Azerbaijan to Europe to ensure EU energy security.
