SOCAR president tells about company's future projects in London

SOCAR  (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) held a reception in London, as part of International Petroleum Week taking place in the British capital, the company said in a statement.

The reception was attended by the heads of international oil companies, banks and investment institutions; representatives of the business circles interested in Azerbaijan and the foreign embassies in the UK; the staff of SOCAR offices in Europe.

Addressing the event, the president of SOCAR Rovnag Abdullayev said that for the first time in the last 20 years the company had discovered the Umid natural gas field using only its own resources. He also stressed that SOCAR Trading - a subsidiary of SOCAR, conducting the oil and gas sales operations at international markets - became known in Europe in the short term.

Abdullayev also spoke about future projects of the company.
