Cooperation between SOCAR Ecology Department and German Institute for Economic Research continues successfully

Relevant measures are taken at SOCAR enterprises under the “Project of strategy development of SOCAR on decrease of aftermath of climatic changes” signed in March of 2010 between SOCAR Ecology Department and German Institute for Economic Researches (DIW econ GmbH) and supported by German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety.

“SOCAR strategy on reduction of aftermath of climatic changes” is planned to be worked out within this cooperation.

The purpose includes improvement of sphere of action of “SOCAR strategy on reduction of aftermath of climatic changes” from 2011 to 2020 and reduction of hazardous emissions in atmosphere.

The instrument will consist of three parts: worked out script, action plan, and stimulation mechanisms.

Besides, action plan will envisage proposals on improvement of energy efficiency, reduction of technological loss, alternative and restored energy sources.
