Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan hold talks on trans-Caspian route

Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan hold talks on creation of the joint-venture to elaborate the feasibility study of the trans-Caspian route, Kazakh Minister of Oil and Gas Sauat Minbayev said. Minister said Kazakhstan is keen to use Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline for transportation of oil. Kazakhstan intends to transport oil via BTC in 2018-2020 as well as deliver oil to the Black Sea ports. Azerbaijan is ready to increase daily capacity to 1.6 million barrels. Currently, daily capacity of BTC is 1.2 million barrels.
