SOCAR commissions 2 vessels to support oil and gas offshore operations

SOCAR put into operation the renovated crane vessel 'Qurban Abbasov' and the ship Caspian Power. They will operate within BUE Caspian alliance. The commissioning ceremony was timed to Oil Worker Day, marked in Azerbaijan September 20.

SOCAR president Rovnag Abdullayev and other senior representatives of the company attended the ceremony. These vessels will participate in supporting oil and gas offshore operations in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea.

BUE Caspian and SOCAR operate more than 10 years, by providing maintenance services using vessels in the Caspian Sea. The alliance has spent over $ 300 million to purchase the ships during this period. These ships will remain at SOCAR's disposal for use in the Caspian Sea in future.
