Azerbaijan's GDP reaches new heights

Azerbaijan's Gross Domestic Product has reached AZN16.5 billion or $20,265 billion in the first five months of the current year, up by 4.3 percent from a year earlier, State Statistical Committee said. The GDP per capita made nearly AZN 1,159 ($2,319), according to the official figures.

The committee said GDP in the oil and gas sector saw a 3.5-percent increase, while grew 4.9 percent in the non-oil sector.
