Belarus-Azerbaijan Chambers of Accounts meet in Baku

Chairman of Azerbaijan's Chamber of Accounts Heydar Asadov met today with visiting Chairman of State Control Committee of Belarus Zenon Lomat.
Asadov spoke of the activity of the chamber, and said the establishment of the Chamber of Accounts is part of a successful policy, which was founded and conducted by the national leader Heydar Aliyev, and is being continued by President Ilham Aliyev, towards improving the system of state administration, including the system of state control.

He noted the legal status of the chamber is stipulated in the law on Chamber of Accounts adopted in 1999. According to its statutory mandates the Chamber of Accounts is a permanent body of state budgetary and financial control reporting to Azerbaijan's Parliament. He noted the Chamber has organizational and functional independence, and became a member of several international and regional organizations.

Zenon Lomat praised the establishment of relations between relevant bodies of the two countries. He stressed the documents, signed during Belarus President's Azerbaijan trip, between the institutions of the two countries is an “important contribution” to bilateral cooperation. Finally, the chairmen presented each other with keepsakes.
