International conference on alternative energy sources to be held in Baku

The international conference on renewable and alternative energy sources will be held in the Azerbaijani Ministry of Industry and Energy in Baku on April 5-6, the Ministry of Energy spokesman Azer Mansimli said.

He said that the conference will hear reports and discuss issues related to alternative and renewable energy sources, in particular the potential and possibilities of using alternative energy sources in Azerbaijan, as well as rules for their use.

The conference will be chaired by Minister of Energy Natiq Aliyev. The head of the World Council for Renewable Energy Hermann Scheer, who is also the initiator of the International Renewable Energy Agency will attend the conference, Mansimli said.
