Azerbaijan prepares draft concept of unified state transport policy

A draft concept of a unified public transport policy and strategic development of the Azerbaijani transport system has been prepared, an Azerbaijan newspaper quoted Transport Minister Ziya Mammadov as saying.

According to Mammadov, the documents are being prepared under the presidential order "On the Approval of the Azerbaijan Republic's National Security Concept."

In 2010, roughly 1.15 billion manat will be invested in the development of transport sector compared to 1.4 billion in 2009, Mammadov said.

In 2008, the figure stood at 542.1 million manat.
