World Bank to lend USD 1bln to Azerbaijan

As part of its new medium-term cooperation strategy for 2011-2014 financial years, the World Bank is planning to provide USD 1 billion in loans to Azerbaijan, Gregory T. Jedrzejczak, World Bank Country Manager said.

The World Bank asked the government of Azerbaijan to present a list of top priority projects, which can be financed during the first two years of the new strategy.
