The number of Metro users reduced by 10 percent after the price was increased, chief of Baku Metro Tagi Ahmadov said.

"It is not me who raises prices. Baku Metro works based on price set by the Tariff Council. The price was 5 kopecks for 12 years. The price was raised by 15 kopecks on October 1 this year," he said.
"Every three months we inform the Tariff Council how much the passenger transportation costs. The Tariff Council determines the next step,” he said.
Ahmadov said actual cost of passenger transportation is 49.2 kopecks.
