Azerbaijan State Oil Company produces 5 billion cubic meters of gas in 2009

During the reporting period, the company's share in joint projects (Shah-Deniz gas condensate field ) amounted to 364.70 million cubic meters.

The company received 44.69 million cubic meters of gas from joint ventures and operating companies. The volume of gas delivered to SOCAR for free  from the Azeri-Chiraq-Ganeshli fields totaled 2 billion cubic meters.
 
The company also purchased 446.14 million cubic meters of gas extracted from Shah-Deniz.

Over the past 8 months, the volume of gas delivered to the State was equal to 7 billion cubic meters. Nearly 645.47 million cubic meters of gas was sold to foreign markets and 6 billion – to domestic market. Nearly 3 billion cubic meters of gas sold on the domestic market were delivered to Azerigaz and 3 billion cubic meters to Azerenerji.

During the reporting period, the company completed drilling operations of 118,420 meters.
