Thailand takes interest in Azerbaijan’s oil and gas sector

Thailand takes interest in development of promising hydrocarbon resources in Azerbaijan, said Vagif Aliyev, SOCAR official for international investments.
Thailand has recently sent a request to SOCAR, expressing its interest to develop promising hydrocarbon deposits in Azerbaijan.

“In response, SOCAR expressed its readiness to negotiate their proposals,” he added.

In total $40 billion was invested in Azerbaijan’s oil and gas sector as a result of 26 international oil and gas contracts with foreign firms between 1994 and 2000.
