Azerbaijan expects record grain harvest this year

“The harvest season is about to end and harvest is 99.6% complete. Grain harvesting is to some extend delayed in some mountainous areas because of weather conditions. We expect a record grain harvest,” he added.

He said the harvest will reach a record of 3 million tons including 2.2 million tons of food wheat.

Azerbaijan harvested 2,498,300 tons of grain from 904,700 hectares of sown land in 2008.
