Azerbaijani parliament designs new construction bill

Azerbaijani parliament is designing a new bill to regulate construction sector, parliament’s economic policy committee chair Ziyad Samadade said.

He said the bill will be brought up for discussions at the autumn session. Specialists are involved with preparation of the Construction Code and international experience is being studied.

He said construction is one of the vital sectors of economy and legal framework is required so that it will function in a normal manner.

“Investment activity is constantly rising in our economy. Interest to construction is rising as well. All the afore-said necessitate creating separate legal framework,” he said.  

He emphasized a need to preserve rights of producers. “The code puts a special emphasis on this issue."
