Merger of Azerigaz with SOCAR aims to normalize exports: SOCAR president

Novosti Azerbaijan quoted SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev as saying.
The merger of the state-run bodies will help realize gas transport.
Azerbaijan uses gas not only to meet country’s needs, but also to export it. Merger of Azerigaz with SOCAR aims to normalize exports in line with world standard, Abdullayev said..
He said presidential decree has set several tasks for SOCAR such as to increase country’s gas supply and improve its quality.
He said Azerigaz will unite with Gas Operations Department and no reductions are planned yet.
