Richard Morningstar: USA not against South Stream and Nabucco

South Stream is considered a rival to the planned Nabucco gas pipeline bypassing Russia that is supported by EU and USA.

"As for the South Stream and Nabucco, our position is the same as regarding North Stream - we are not against it. The issue is of profitability of this project. Anyway, this is a problem of the participating states. We have no objections against the South Stream project", said Morningstar at a briefing in the Foreign Press Center in Washington.
