Total of 18 Azerbaijani enterprises provided with new radio frequencies

The State Commission on Radio frequencies has allocated new frequencies
to 18 companies and organizations operating in Azerbaijan.
"At the meeting of the commission it was decided to conduct technical studies to allocate frequencies to 12 companies and organizations,' the commission said.

In addition, the commission withdrew frequencies from five companies and organizations because of their inefficient use.

State Commission on Radio frequencies under the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan was established in August 1996 upon the decree of ex-president Heydar Aliyev. The Commission is chaired by Vice Prime Minister Abid Sharifov. Deputy Chairman is Minister of Communications Ali Abbasov. The commission includes representatives from the ministries of communications, defense, internal affairs, national security and AZAL state concern.

The main responsibility of the commission is to develop long-term public policy on the distribution and use of radiofrequency spectrum of the country.
